John Entwistle, bassist of The Who, was found dead in his hotel room Thursday, June 27th. He had been on heart medication and apparently had a heart attack. Everyone from Scott Ian (Anthrax) to Sammy Hagar (who dedicated "When Eagles Fly" to John at his show that night in Fresno, CA) have expressed their friendship and/or appreciation. Firewind is a new band with a 21 year old Greek guitarist named Gus G., ex-Kenziner vocalist Stephen Fredrick, drummer Brian Harris, and bassist Konstanine. Gus G. has appeard on albums by Mystic Prophecy, Dream Evil, and Exhumation. Their album "Between Heaven And Hell" was produced by David T. Chastain. Brian Harris has played with Zanister, Vainglory, Kenziner, and Michael Harris. The album will be released on Massacre Records on June 24th. Tracks are:

Finntroll's web site http://www.finntroll.net has posted a message from Katla. In the message Katla says that he has had three operations on a virus based tumor in his vocal cords. The tumor has spread so far over his vocal cords that any more surgery can't be done without damaging his voice. There is another treatment but it will take time and has other side-effects. Due to not gaining his voice back from the last surgery Katla has stepped aside as vocalist. No decision has been made about upcoming shows or recordings.

Daniel says that Kevin Moore will be doing all the vocals because Jim Matheos wanted to take the project in a different direction than at first and Kevin's and his vocal styles are very different. Daniel said there are no hard feelings and he was honored to be chosen for the project.

13) Nail: An Odyssey In Flesh: Celebrate The New Skin
During the creation of the new album Martex and 7even II decided to leave the band. The current line-up is Kenny on vocals, Q on bass, Pete on guitar, T on guitar, Sami on drums, and Anti on keyboards. Tommy Tagtgren produced the new album at the Abyss B Studio. The original title of the album was going to be "Insect Angels & Devil Worms." The first 500 double vinyl copies will bear this name, with the first 50 having different hand made artwork.
